These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Kourtra’s websites, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who these Terms apply to

“You” may be an individual user, or you may be using the Service on behalf of an organization/community (a “Community”). If you use the Service on behalf of a Community, you represent that you have authority to bind that Community to these Terms.

Community administrators can manage membership, roles, permissions, and certain settings. Your access to Community data depends on your role and permissions within that Community.

Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your account information current.
  • You agree to notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access or security incident related to your account.
  • Certain sensitive actions (such as account deletion or data export) may require re-authentication.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. For example, you will not:

  • Violate applicable laws or regulations.
  • Infringe the rights of others (including privacy and intellectual property).
  • Upload malware or attempt to compromise the security of the Service.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or bypass access controls, except where explicitly authorized.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or engage in abusive, harassing, or harmful conduct.

We may scan uploaded files for malware and quarantine files during processing to protect users and the Service.

Your content

You (or your Community) retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (“Content”), including files and Community records.

You grant Kourtra a limited license to host, store, process, and display Content as necessary to provide the Service and as permitted by your settings and permissions.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to submit Content to the Service.

Optional AI features

Some deployments may enable AI-assisted features. When enabled, prompts or relevant Content you submit may be sent to a configured AI provider to generate suggestions. You should avoid submitting sensitive information that you do not want processed by an AI provider.

Billing (paid plans)

Some features may be offered under paid plans. If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees and taxes.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe). We do not store full payment card numbers.

Plan details (including billing cycle, renewals, and cancellation) are shown in the Service at the time of purchase and in your billing settings.

Third-party services

The Service may integrate with third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information. Please review the Privacy Policy.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may be able to export your account data and delete your account within the Service.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the security and integrity of the Service.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kourtra disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kourtra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kourtra from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your Content or your misuse of the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
